I have an obsession with all things in the tropical hemisphere, but for some reason, Cuba runs my curiosity over the brim. Maybe it’s the allure of where you can’t go or the desire to witness this beautiful island so many people have fled for fear of its own government. I really want to go to Cuba.
Research and plans are never the most fun of any creative venture. But if you’re going to splatter the Sistine Chapel, you’re gonna need a big ladder and a lot of paint and probably some other stuff you’ll probably forget about. I’ve been really bad about keeping up with this blogging shmogging. After getting really sick after SXSW and even having to visit the ER for an evening, I’m back—building, planning, researching.
For the first time in history, the graffiti on the wall has more power than the building. With the ability to connect and unify through the internet and mobile devices, we are seeing a massive in change in the landscape. Ordinary people, who prior to the internet had no outlet, have now been given a voice, as well as an ability to mobilize that voice like never before, which in turn has created a shift in power. Here’s the warning for all those in power from here on out: you can build a building but the graffiti on its walls will determine its fate.
